Volaris inks six Airbus aircraft deal with Macquarie AirFinance

Mexican low-cost carrier Volaris has signed a deal with Macquarie AirFinance for six Airbus jets.

The deal includes a sale-and-leaseback transaction for three Airbus A320neo aircraft, which are scheduled for delivery in 2026, as well as three short-term A320ceo lease extensions.

Lynn Guiney, chief commercial officer at Macquarie AirFinance, said the agreement demonstrates the company's ability to deliver tailored financing solutions.

“We worked closely with the Volaris team to extend our existing A320ceos, whilst packaging with new A320neo sale-and-leasebacks to ensure we support their fleet growth and cement our long-term relationship,” she said.

The sale-and-leaseback deal will support Macquarie's portfolio through the addition of new-technology aircraft.
