Viva Aerobus carried 11.34 million passengers, growing by 20.2% versus the previous year. The ultra-low-cost carrier recently released its traffic figures for first six months of 2023 from January to June 2023.
Viva Aerobus had 10.15 million domestic passengers recording a 21.6% growth over last year and 1.18 million international passengers recording a 9.8% growth versus the previous year.
Commenting on the overall airline performance, Juan Carlos Zuazua, chief executive, Viva Aerobus said: “June traffic reflects solid fundamentals in our markets as we reached more than 11 million passengers in the first six months of 2023, an increase of 20.2% compared to the same period in 2022, with healthy occupancy factors. Demand trends remain robust as we enter the peak summer season in Mexico.”
