Virgin Australia chief executive John Borghetti has closed a new licence agreement for its domestic services with Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group. The deal is expected to last beyond ten years.
Under the deal V Australia and Pacific Blue will be rebranded as Virgin Australia.
Borghetti said he was “extremely happy with the deal”. Although the terms of the deal were not disclosed, he stated that they were in line with his desire to move the Virgin brand more up-market in domestic aviation.
Virgin unveiled new aircraft livery and the design of new cabins last week.
