Virgin Atlantic to fly to Haneda rather than Narita

To be closer to the centre of the city, Virgin Atlantic will relocate its Japanese operation from Tokyo Narita to Haneda, in time for summer 2014. Virgin signed a codeshare agreement with All Nippon Airways (ANA) in 2009.
Haneda is making daylight slots for long-haul carriers from spring 2014. Currently, only British Airways via is codeshare with Japan Airlines flies to Haneda.
Virgin Atlantic CEO Steve Ridgway said: “Our codeshare agreement with ANA will ensure that international passengers still have the choice to fly to Narita Airport but, between the two carriers, we will be able to offer more choices with a Haneda-based operation.”
