Virgin Atlantic said it is increasing winter capacity on Dubai and Cape Town services following rising demand.
For Dubai, winter seat capacity is increasing 50% compared to the year prior. With a 72% surge in demand, the airline has introduced the A350 for the destination, the company said.
Cape Town will also see a 15% increase in seats. Bookings to the destination increased 38% compared to 2024. The airline said it is also extending the season, which begins in October through April.
Additionally, the airline is returning to Cancun after a six-year hiatus. Starting in October, Virgin will offer the only direct flights from London Heathrow to the destination on its 787-9 aircraft.
“Our expanded flying to Dubai and Cape Town, alongside our return to Cancun, reflects strong demand for premium leisure travel, as we whisk our customers to their next adventure,” said Virgin Atlantic chief commercial officer Juha Jarvinen.
