VietJet is all set to ramp up its capacity to several international destinations along with starting flights on several new routes. The airline is also planning a wide range of promotional offers on air fares to lure more tourists to Vietnam.
VietJet will commence commercial flights from Sydney International Airport (SYD) on April 12, 2023 and Melbourne International Airport (MEL) from April 8, 2023 to Tan Son Nhat Airport (SGN) in Ho Chi Minh City.
VietJet is offering free domestic flights within Vietnam for Australian travellers. This offer will run with the airline's existing promotion, which offers flights starting at just $136 from Australia to Vietnam until October 25, 2023.
Also, any VietJet passengers who fly from Melbourne or Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City will be eligible for free domestic connecting flights. Some available Ho Chi Minh City destinations include Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc. VietJet operates to 16 domestic destinations from Ho Chi Minh City.
VietJet says this is its largest-ever promotion for the Australian market, with flights three times a week from both Sydney and Melbourne.
The airline will also introduce direct service to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport from Ho Chi Minh City with daily service from April 26, 2023.
Meanwhile, the Ho Chi Minh City-Hong Kong flights operate five times weekly from March 8, 2023.
