Vietjet shareholders set to receive 20% stock dividend

Vietjet has declared a 20% stock dividend, under which shareholders will receive 20 new shares for every 100 shares they own.

The total number of shares to be issued by Vietjet is 118.3 million, with a projected total value exceeding 1.18bn Vietnamese dong ($44.7 million) based on par value.

The issuance is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2025 or the first quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approvals.

Following the issuance, Vietjet's charter capital is expected to rise to over 7 trillion dong ($265 million). The capital expansion will enhance the company's long-term financial capacity.

“The 20% dividend represents a ‘double joy’ for Vietjet investors and shareholders,” Vietjet said. “Alongside the generous dividend, the value of VJC shares is likely to increase significantly, supported by net purchases from foreign investors in recent trading sessions.”

As of the close of trading on October 23, the company's shares were priced at 184,000 dong ($6.9) per share.
