Vietjet has received a new A321neo ACF aircraft, the airline said on April 28, 2025. The introduction of this aircraft is part of its strategic expansion for 2025. In addition, the aircraft will meet the growing travel demand.
The delivery marks the third new aircraft Vietjet has added to its fleet since the start of 2025. The airline plans to continue receiving new aircraft from Airbus and Boeing throughout the year.
The aircraft is set to be deployed during Vietnam's second-largest national holiday period this week, marking the 50th anniversary of Reunification Day along with Labour Day.
The airline had recently signed a $300 million financing deal with AV AirFinance, a partner of investment fund KKR, in order to fund the expansion of its fleet. The company said it was in currently in talks with Boeing for further aircraft orders. In addition, a person familiar with the matter had said the airline is considering placing a large order with Airbus — potentially around or over 100 A321neo aircraft.
