Vietjet has reported strong results with fourth quarter 2024 passenger revenues totalling VND19.8 trillion ($784 million), increasing 36% from the fourth quarter 2023, an after-tax profit of VND167bn ($6.6 million), tripling from the same period a year prior.
Consolidated revenues totalled VND19.8 trillion ($785 million), up 36%. Consolidated profit after tax was VND21.4bn ($848,000) for the quarter.
For the full year, the airline's revenues were VND71.5 trillion ($2.8bn), up 33%, while recording an after-tax profit of VND1.3 trillion ($51.6 million). Consolidated revenues were VND71.8 trillion ($2.9bn) and profits were VND1.4 trillion ($56.5 million).
As of December 31, 2024, Vietjet's total assets were nearly VND99.5 trillion ($3.95bn), with a debt-to-equity ratio of 2.12 and a liquidity ratio of 1.71.
Throughout the year, the airline transported 25.9 million passengers across 137,000 flights on 145 routes. Load factor averaged at 87% for the year. The company met its target in receiving 10 new aircraft for the year.
