Vertimass gets Danish government funding for sustainable aviation fuel

A consortium including California-based fuel producer Vertimass has been allocated a US$1.35 million Danish government grant to "pilot the conversion of green hydrogen and carbon dioxide into sustainable aviation fuel".

The group includes Kosan Gas, Aalborg University, the Port of Aalboorg and Aalborg Airport, witb the money to come from the Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Programme of the Danish Energy Agency, which in turn is a division of the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy & Utilities.

"The conversion of carbon dioxide – a major greenhouse gas contributor – into jet fuel and other hydrocarbons can play a vital role in reducing the carbon footprint for transportation," said Vertimass president Charles Wyma
