Veling appoints Hitesh Patel as Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Veling, a Mauritius-based aircraft leasing company, has appointed Hitesh
Patel as Chief Executive Officer of the company with effect from the 15 July 2013.
In a joint statement, Uday Nayak, Chairman and Nirvan Veerasamy, Managing Director of
Veling Ltd said: “We are delighted that Hitesh is joining us as Chief Executive Officer. He brings to our company more than 27 years of experience in the airline industry. This will hold us in good stead as our company embarks on the next stage of its future strategic growth.
We are sure that Hitesh will contribute positively together with our existing team of talented individuals in taking Veling to new heights.”

Hitesh started his career as Aircraft Engineer at Continental Airways before moving to Jet
Blue as Director - Technical Operations and Accountable Manager, at the very beginning of this successful airline in New York. In late 2004, Kingfisher Airlines, recruited him as its
Executive Vice-President, to initiate the setup, launch and ramping up of the operations of the airline.

Veling currently has a portfolio of twelve aircraft under its ownership and/or management including four A340-300 (on lease to Sri Lankan Airlines), one ATR 72-500 (currently on the market for sale) and seven B777-200/200ER (on lease to Emirates). Veling is also developing, conceptualising and operating a Private Jets terminal in Mauritius and the second one is to be opened by the last quarter of 2013 on the Caribbean island of St Kitts and Nevis (www.lfs.kn) with the YU Lounge brand (www.yulounge.com).
