Centrum Air, Uzbekistan’s largest private airline, has begun operating direct passenger flights between Delhi and Tashkent, the Uzbek capital.

The service will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays. The inaugural flight took place on October 3.

Adil Mirza, head of the general sales agency (GSA) for the international arm of Centrum Air, said that India is a “priority market” for the airline.

Founded in 2023, Centrum Air, has a fleet of 13 aircraft and offers flights to more than 35 destinations.

By the end of 2025, the fleet is expected to reach 15 aircraft and expand to 22 by the end of 2026. The airline operates an all-Airbus fleet, including the A320neo family jet and the A330neo widebody.

The airline said it aims to position itself as a preferred carrier for both leisure and business travellers across Central Asia, the Middle East, and South Asia, offering convenient schedules, competitive fares, and Uzbek hospitality.
