Uzbekistan Airways has signed letters of intent (LOI) with China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) to lease four new Airbus A321neo aircraft.
Deliveries are scheduled for between 2027 and 2028, and the aircraft will feature a two-class cabin configuration.
The agreement expands the two parties' established partnership, with the airline now expecting to receive a total of six A321neo aircraft from the lessor by the end of 2028. This will bring the airline's A321neo fleet to 15 units, as it continues to advance its fleet modernisation strategy.
“We are systematically renewing our fleet, implementing advanced technologies, and placing special emphasis on passenger comfort,” said Uzbekistan Airways chairman Shukhrat Khudaykulov.
President and CCO of CALC Winnie Liu said: “These latest-generation aircraft reflect CALC's commitment to supporting our airline partners with sustainable, flexible fleet solutions that enhance operational efficiency and passenger comfort.”
