UTC Aerospace Systems signs long-term Boeing 787 component service agreement with ST Aerospace

UTC Aerospace Systems and ST Aerospace have signed a long-term repair license agreement for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for UTC Aerospace Systems components on the Boeing 787 aircraft.

As a licensed MRO service provider for UTC Aerospace Systems’ electrical and air management systems, this partnership allows ST Aerospace to extend its nose-to-tail solutions to include services for UTC Aerospace Systems components installed on the Boeing 787, including bleedless systems and liquid cooling components. ST Aerospace will deliver reliable customised maintenance solutions to Boeing 787 operators globally.

“This newest relationship with ST Aerospace will bolster the levels of customer support provided for UTC Aerospace Systems’ products on the 787 around the world,” said Jim Patrick, vice president of Customer Service for UTC Aerospace Systems’ Power, Controls and Sensing Systems segment. “ST Aerospace’s strong global presence, particularly in the Asia Pacific region, completes our global 787 network structure, and their vast experience in the aircraft MRO industry will provide a unique perspective to successfully support our customers.”
“We are excited at the opportunity to expand our partnership with UTC Aerospace Systems through this new aircraft platform,” said Chang Cheow Teck, president of
ST Aerospace. “Building upon a strong OEM solution and leveraging our global MRO network as an independent integrated service provider, we look forward to providing Boeing 787 operators with adaptive maintenance solutions that create long term growth value.”
With this agreement, ST Aerospace becomes an official member of UTC Aerospace Systems’ Boeing 787 MRO supplier network. Prior to this partnership, both companies had been collaborating on component repair services for various aircraft platforms.
