USA3000 Airlines and Lufthansa Technik have signed a multi-year contract regarding component services for a total of five Airbus A320-200 aircraft. With this agreement, Lufthansa Technik will provide a Total Component Support TCS, encompassing several hundred part numbers. A home base lease will be located in Fort Myers / Florida. Maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) activities of components will take place at Lufthansa Technik’s component shops in Frankfurt and Hamburg in Germany.
“USA3000 has been recognized as one of the best domestic airlines in the United States by providing safe, on-time and courteous air transportation at an exceptional value to our customers,” said Steve Harfst, CEO of USA3000. “Therefore we are happy to work with Lufthansa Technik, one of the leading providers of technical services for commercial aircraft. This agreement will help us to improve our component support supply chain, reduce our cost of material ownership and to keep the high level of technical quality which our customers do expect.”
Stefan Schmuck, Lufthansa Technik’s Director Sales USA and Canada, said: “I would like to thank USA3000 for their trust. We are very proud that we could extend the existing successful cooperation in such a significant area like aircraft components.”
Under the Total Component Support TCS agreement Lufthansa Technik’s experts will take care of all aspects of supplying USA3000 with components for the airline’s daily operations, from access to the pool of components, repair and overhaul of the units removed from the aircraft on to engineering and troubleshooting support.
In 2009, USA3000 and Lufthansa Technik’s subsidiary Hawker Pacific signed a five-year contract regarding overhaul services for the landing gears of the A320-200 fleet.
