Norwegian Air is increasing its flights to the US with the introduction of new routes to Chicago and Denver.
The low-cost carrier will add flights between Chicago's O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and both Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Rome (FCO), with Norwegian offering up to five-weekly flights to Paris. While to Rome, Norwegian will fly up to four-weekly flights.
Norwegian will add a new flight from Denver to Rome, operating up to three times a week.
All of these routes will be flown with Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Matthew Wood, Norwegian senior vice-president of commercial, commented: “The US is now our largest and most important source market and we will continue to invest in expanding our network to offer more nonstop service to highly sought-after European destinations."
As part of the expansion in the US, Norwegian and JetBlue Airways recently signed a letter of intent to implement an interline agreement.
The partnership will connect more than 60 US and nearly 40 Caribbean and Latin American cities to Norwegian’s network via New York-JFK, Boston and Fort Lauderdale airports.
Norwegian currently offers more than 20 nonstop routes to Europe from these three airports.
