US Airways Group reports its consolidated traffic grew 4.9%, capacity grew by 1.9%, and load factor increased by 2.6 percentage points.
US Airways RPMs grew 4.9% to 6.21 billion, bolstered by American regional traffic, which grew 5.2%, and Atlantic region traffic, up by 6.3%. Latin region traffic fell only slightly by 0.6%.
Consolidated capacity, or ASMs, also grew 1.9% to 7.08 billion from July 2010. American region capacity increased 2.2%, and Atlantic region capacity grew 4.3%, while Latin region capacity dropped 6.8%.
Load factor for the month of July was 87.7%, up 2.6 percentage points. American region load factor grew 2.5 percentage points; Atlantic region load factor increased 1.6 percentage points, and Latin region load factor increased rose 5.7 percentage points.
