US airlines carried 77.5 million systemwide passengers - both domestically and internationally - in September 2024, according to a report from the US Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) on December 12, 2024. Unadjusted, it marks a 1.6% increase over the same month last year and a record for September.
Domestic enplanements reached 68 million during the month and international enplanements reached 9.5 million - both of which were an all time high for September.
However, adjusted for seasonality, September enplanements totalled 81.5 million.
