Share prices of US airlines were buoyed slightly on the news that OPEC was increasing production which drove oil prices slightly lower yesterday.
The Arca airline index was up 3.2%. United Continental Holdings was up 3.4% at $24.11 on the New York Stock Exchange and Delta Air Lines up 6.1% at $10.71. However both share prices were aided by the news that the airlines were planning to trim capacity.
