Len McCluskey, leader of Unite, the union that represents British Airways cabin crew, has warned people not to travel with British Airways over the February half-term holidays, Easter or over the Royal Wedding as the airline may strike.
Unite has given notice to BA that its members will vote for a fresh strike ballot on 21 December. The ballot will be open until 21 January when Unite will need then give a weeks notice if it intends to call a strike over the next three months.
British Airways has reaffirmed its pledge to keep as many services running in the face of a strike.
