Unifi Aviation enters continental Europe with Viggo acquisition

Unifi Aviation has expanded into continental Europe with the acquisition of Viggo, a Netherlands-based ground handling provider with more than 50 years of experience.

The deal extends Unifi’s footprint beyond North America, the UK and Ireland, and adds operations at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Eindhoven Airport. Viggo provides passenger, baggage and ramp handling services for more than 80,000 flights annually.

Unifi said the acquisition supports its global growth strategy and aligns with its focus on service quality and workforce development. Viggo chief executive Martijn Limburg will continue to lead the business, working with Unifi to ensure continuity for airline customers and employees.

The combined group said the move will strengthen stability and operational support for airline partners while maintaining existing service standards in the Dutch market.
