Federico Ghizzoni, Chief Executive of UniCredit, which owns a 13%stake in Alitalia and is a creditor bank, has stated that Etihad Airways could be a good partner for the beleaguered Italian carrier as there are no overlaps. He commented that he wants Etihad to submit a letter of intent proposal for airline soon. He told Reuters: “We’re waiting and hoping a letter would come. It may seem strange but we haven’t had any information.”
