UK airports are set to have their busiest day so far this year on Friday July 19, according to data from aviation analytics firm Cirium. UK airports are expected to reach over 3,214 departures on the day - the highest number of daily departures since October 2019.
Additionally, over the weekend (July 19 to 21) 9,075 flights are scheduled to depart from UK airports - equating to over 1.6 million seats. Comparing the same period to 2023.
Heathrow Airport is projected to record the highest number of departures, followed by Gatwick, Manchester, Stansted and then Edinburgh. easyJet is set to operate the largest number of UK departures over the weekend, followed by Ryanair, British Airways, Jet2.com and TUI.

The most popular international destinations are expected to be Dublin, Amsterdam, Palma, Alicante, and Malaga.
