Uganda flag carrier Uganda Airlines is set to purchase six new commercial aircraft, the state minister for works Fred Byamukama said, according to Nile Post.
The minister made the remarks during the airline's launch of its new flights to Abuja, its second destination in Nigeria.
"President [Yoweri] Museveni has already approved the move to purchase more aircraft," Byamukama reportedly said at the event.
The aircraft would facilitate trade, investment, and economic cooperation for Uganda, the minister said.
