UAM Appoints Chief Operating Officer

Universal Asset Management (UAM) has promoted Tracy Andrews to the position of Chief Operating Officer of UAM effective immediately.  Andrews, already having the responsibility for UAM’s Mississippi, USA distribution operations in his role as Senior Vice President now assumes operational responsibility for UAM’s global business, sales and execution of the corporate strategic plan.

“Having spent most of my UAM career as COO before acquiring UAM in 2013, I can say that Tracy is the best operational executive that I’ve ever worked with.  His background in Fortune 50 companies, quality systems, Kaizen and Six Sigma have already made an incredible impact on UAM and our ability to provide the highest level of quality products and processes to our customers,” said Keri Wright, UAM’s Chairman and CEO.  “Tracy’s background and knowledge have been key in the redesign of UAM’s disassembly processes to an investment grade operation with value chain distribution and asset monetization capability unlike any other in the aviation industry.”

Andrews joined UAM in 2011 as UAM’s warehouse manager after working for Toyota in manufacturing and distribution operations and in 2014 was named UAM’s Senior Vice President.  In addition to Tracy’s operational improvements, Tracy is advancing UAM through the development of more powerful technology platforms and driving UAM’s aviation ecosystem with its mission to “Re-imagine the aviation industry”.

Wright continued, “’From Technical to Technology’, Tracy’s dynamic leadership style, passion for the technical aspect of airplanes as well as advanced technology development that UAM is bringing to the marketplace, Tracy and his team are rolling out new innovations for components, disassemblies, sales and software technologies that are increasingly important to UAM’s business and the aviation industry’s future.”

With his added responsibility for UAM’s global sales strategy, technology development team, global facilities and research and development team, we are looking forward to adding additional talent to UAM’s incredible depth and breadth of leadership globally. Wright adds, “It’s an exciting time at UAM and Tracy’s new role is key to UAM’s strategic plan for the future.”
