Turkish Technic is planning to sue SpiceJet for approximately $14.5 million for breaching of the maintenance contract signed in 2018. The MRO claims that SpiceJet has neither paid the invoices nor returned the loaned aircraft spares.
As a part of the contract Turkish Technic was to provide SpiceJet with working aircraft parts in exchange for non-serviceable ones and in turn charge the airline for repairs and lending of components. The contract was terminated in 2021 and a new contract was inked. Now, as the two companies inked a different deal, Turkish Technic has claimed that the airline needs to return the spares as per the 2018 deal.
Apart from this, Turkish claims that SpiceJet has not paid several invoices between March 2021 and December 2022 amounting to over $12.5 million.
Turkish Technic had filed a claim to the High Court of Justice of England and Wales in December 2022.
