Turkish Airlines and Mongolian Airlines ink codeshare deal

Turkish Airlines and Mongolian Airlines have signed a codeshare agreement to give passengers more options between Turkey, Mongolia and beyond. The two airlines will place their codes on each other’s flights, with Mongolian hoping to utilize Turkish’s extensive network in Europe and the US.

Commenting on the codeshare, Bilal EKŞİ, CEO, Turkish Airlines said: “Both flag carriers enhanced their solid collaboration via signing this codeshare agreement and by increasing frequencies reciprocally between Istanbul and Ulaanbaatar. As a result, more Turkish and Mongolian passengers will be able to visit these two unique and beautiful countries, Türkiye and Mongolia. Besides, we will connect more destinations in light of the existing beyond points in the newly signed codeshare agreement.”

Munhktamir, CEO, Mongolian Airlines, said: “The codeshare agreement will enable the customers of both airlines with greater choice and connectivity, acknowledging Turkish Airlines’ wide range of global networks.”

With this agreement, Turkish Airlines plans to offer Ulaanbaatar as Marketing Carrier on Mongolian Airlines’ operated flights, while Mongolian Airlines' passengers will be able to reach many European and United States destinations through Turkish Airlines’ extensive network.

Mongolian Airlines will place its code on Istanbul-Ulaanbaatar flights and also on 10 points beyond Istanbul, operated by Turkish Airlines.
