Turkey’s ground handling provider Havas might stop services to Boeing-made Russian jets

Turkey’s ground service provider has written a letter to Russian carriers with a warning that the ground handling services will most likely be denied to the airlines' including Aeroflot, Rossiya Airlines, S7 Airlines, Utair Airlines, Red Wings, Nordwind, Yamal, and Belavia. The letter was signed by Havas General Manager Meter Erna.

The services will be denied to Boeing and Airbus-made aircraft served by these carriers. The letter included a list of about 170 aircraft.

Havas has yet to make a final decision on whether or not it will choose to withhold aircraft services to Russian and Belarusian airlines. Meanwhile, they are in is still in discussions with the airlines to better evaluate the factors affecting the situation.

Havas is one of the biggest ground handling service providers in Turkey providing aircraft services at Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, and Ankara airports along with many other airports.
