TRIMEC AVIATION EXPANDS WESTWIND CAPACITY AT FTW

As part of its $4.5 million development project at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport (FTW), Texas Jet is nearing completion of a 30,000-sq-ft hangar it has leased to Trimec Aviation. “With our growing Astra/G100 customer base, we have outgrown the facility we’ve been in for 25 years,” said Trimec president John Dunn. “The new hangar will also provide us with the option to move into Galaxy/G200 maintenance. We are looking forward to teaming with Texas Jet. It will provide Trimec and our customers with outstanding service and support.”

Texas Jet, which completed a 13,800-sq-ft hangar last December, will be a 20-hangar, 350,000-sq-ft complex when the newest hangar is completed. Texas Jet complements Trimec with an FBO. Trimec’s 12 employees, all technicians except an office manager and parts manager, specialize in Westwind maintenance. The MRO is a Worthington Aviation 1124/1124A authorized service center and an FAA-certified repair station for the IAI 1124/1124A, Astra/SPX/G100, Honeywell TFE731-3 and TFE731-40. The company also has established relationships with Duncan Avionics, Aircraft Paint Services and Turbine Engine Specialists.
