Bangalore airport’s discounted landing and parking charge scheme has been ruled as legal by a tribunal that was set up after protests from the Federation of Indian Airlines.
The Airport Economic Regulatory Authority Appellate Tribunal issued an order to maintain the existing charges that offered a 40% discount to airlines based at the airport.
Rival airlines claimed the offer only applied to AirAsia, which recently commenced flights from Bangalore to Goa and Chennai.
The Federation of Indian Airlines' appeal will be heard on July 18th.
