Delta Air Lines is to make its Edinburgh Airport to Atlanta route a daily service throughout summer 2023, Edinburgh Airport has announced.
The upgrade from five flights a week is down to "strong demand for transatlantic travel", according to the airport, from where it will also be possible during summer to fly each day to New York and Boston.
“This is very exciting news as we continue to increase Edinburgh’s already strong North American connectivity and provide choice to people looking for transatlantic travel," said Kate Sherry, aviation director at Edinburgh Airport.
“Delta is delighted to offering daily nonstop service to Atlanta, the world’s leading hub and gateway to the Americas which will allow even more opportunities for travel between Edinburgh and the United States," said Clare Black, the airline's home markets general manager.
