Pillsbury has announced the addition of transportation and structured finance lawyer Jonathan Goldstein as a partner in the firm’s New York office. Goldstein, who began his career at Milbank and was formerly head of Transportation Finance at Shearman and Sterling, strengthens Pillsbury’s capabilities in high-end transportation and structured financing.
“Jonathan is a very highly regarded lawyer with a rapidly growing reputation as a leader and problem solver,” said Finance practice section leader and New York office managing partner Jonathan Whitney. “His arrival marks an important step in the continued development of both our global transportation and structured finance teams, as well as our New York office, and we are very pleased to have him.”
Goldstein’s practice focuses on a broad spectrum of international financial and corporate transactions across the transportation and other esoteric structured finance sectors. This includes public offerings, private securities placements, structured financings, various types of bank loans, leases, sales and resales, joint ventures and restructurings.
“With Jonathan’s addition in New York, we are adding strength on strength,” noted Firm Chair Jim Rishwain. “His skills and experience bring additional breadth and depth to our transportation and structured finance offering and help us continue a trajectory of significant, market-leading growth in 2016.”
“I am thrilled to be part of Pillsbury’s esteemed finance team,” Goldstein added. “The firm’s global platform and superb reputation present tremendous opportunity for me and my clients.”
