Low-cost Indonesian airline TransNusa has become the fastest growing airline in South East Asia, having developed and launched four new international routes in the last eight months.

Detailing the airline’s expansion from domestic carrier to international operator, chief executive officer Datuk Bernard Francies explained that since the implementation of the first maiden international flight on April 14, the airline has been enjoying a significant growth pattern.

Building on last week’s inaugural Jakarta to Guangzhou route, TransNusa’s maiden Singapore service – flight 8B-151 - has successfully and safely landed in Singapore’s Changi airport without any delays. “The fact that TransNusa has managed to obtain all necessary approvals in such a short timeframe, reflects the importance and commitment we have towards safety, security, maintenance and aircraft performance measures,” Datuk Bernard added.

Since April this year, TransNusa has introduced and launched scheduled flight operations in major capitals across South East Asia and Asia Pacific including Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Guangzhou.
