TransAsia Airways and China Airlines will be fined NT$20,000-NT$300,000 (US$636-US$9,549) each for making their employees work more than 12 hours a day in violation of Taiwan's labor regulations.

Seven other local carriers, including Sunrise Airlines, Roc Aviation Company, Emerald Pacific Airlines and Great Wing Airline, were also found to be in violation of the law because they had not been keeping proper records of their employees' work hours.
