Transaero Airlines has reported a net loss of RUB3.2 billion ($57.6 million) during the first half of 2015 compared to a new loss of RUB10.4 billion in the year-ago period. Revenue grew 5.1% to RUB50.7 billion during the reported period.
During the period, Transaero carried 5.8 million passengers, which was the same as the year-ago period. RPKs fell 11% to 19.3 billion.
Transaero capital is negative during the first half of RUB52.6 billion, compared to a positive capital of RUB4.8 billion in the H1 2014. Loan financial lease liabilities have also grown by 59.6% during the reporting period to RUB149.9 billion from RUB93.9 billion in the year-ago period. Operational lease liabilities have increased 84.9% from RUB24.5 billion to RUB45.3 billion.
Aeroflot is now taking a lead in the restructuring of the airline after it acquired 75% plus one share for RUB1.
