Tigerair Taiwan plans to list by Q3 2023

Tigerair Taiwan is planning to list its shares on the Taiwan Stock Exchange Innovation Board in Q3 of 2023, as per the statement released by the exchange.

Tigerair passed a resolution in December 2022 to apply for a listing on the Innovation Board. The airline hoped that this would help it raise funds with the opening up of Asian market post-pandemic.

Tiegrair Taiwan is owned by Taiwan’s China Airlines Group with China Airlines holding a 78.41% stake and Mandarin Airline with 3.86% and Cathay Life holding 2.49%,

Tigerair Taiwan’s shares have been trading on the emerging market of the Taipei Exchange since December 2019.

Tigerair Taiwan has $131 million in paid-in capital, and it incurred a net loss of $93.4 million in 2022. The year prior, the airline incurred a loss of $4.4 million. However as per the rules of Innovation Board listings, profitability is no longer the main listing standard.
