Tigerair Taiwan is planning to list its shares on the Taiwan Stock Exchange Innovation Board in Q3 of 2023, as per the statement released by the exchange.
Tigerair passed a resolution in December 2022 to apply for a listing on the Innovation Board. The airline hoped that this would help it raise funds with the opening up of Asian market post-pandemic.
Tiegrair Taiwan is owned by Taiwan’s China Airlines Group with China Airlines holding a 78.41% stake and Mandarin Airline with 3.86% and Cathay Life holding 2.49%,
Tigerair Taiwan’s shares have been trading on the emerging market of the Taipei Exchange since December 2019.
Tigerair Taiwan has $131 million in paid-in capital, and it incurred a net loss of $93.4 million in 2022. The year prior, the airline incurred a loss of $4.4 million. However as per the rules of Innovation Board listings, profitability is no longer the main listing standard.
