Shares in Turkish Airlines (THY) rose steadily last week to close at their strongest level since April 17. The airline has been expanding routes steadily and passenger figures have been strong; during the first five months of the year they jumped 18.9% with cargo up 23.4%.
“Passenger growth remains intact in May 2012, showing resilience” against global macroeconomic difficulties, Turkish Airlines said in a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
