Thornton Law Firm will investigate the causes of the recent crashes involving Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft near Jakarta, Indonesia and Addis Abba, Ethiopia.
The investigation will focus on the role Boeing and its suppliers may have played in causing the accidents as a result of possible design or manufacturing defects.
The investigation focuses in large part on the Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS), which is a stall prevention system designed to activate in manual flight, with the airplane's flaps up, at an elevated Angle of Attack (AOA).
The investigation into this follows a number of media reports into the investigations into the Boeing MAX crashes suggests issues with the MCAS may have caused the accidents, the firm says.
The grounding of 737 MAX 8 aircraft has impacted not only Boeing, but many airlines in recent financial reports, including American Airlines and Norwegian Air.
