TGIS Aviation has appointed Charlie Whyman as its new managing director, noting that her appointment comes at a “significant” time for the company as it looks to receive its Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) approval from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
Whyman has served as a consultant for the company for the past year, prior to which she ran her own business. “Her expertise in commercial management and business development will be invaluable as she steps into this role driving growth and innovation at TGIS Aviation,” notes the company.
Whyman described the upcoming CAMO approval as a “significant development,” adding that she was “excited to be part of this pivotal moment in the company’s history”. In her new role, Whyman will work closely with co-owner and new CEO Trish Gray, ‘marking a significant moment as TGIS places two women in its top leadership positions’. Gray described her new colleague as having “vision and leadership,” noting firsthand the impact she has had on the company over the past year.
