TERMINAL 3 WOES FOR KINGFISHER AND JET

Kingfisher Airlines and Jet Airways have experienced problems following their move to Terminal 3 at the Indira Gandhi International airport. Telephone line problems and poor internet connections slowed down the check-in process, leading to delays, which meant nearly 90% of flights on Sunday were delayed by 15 minutes to two hours.

A protest was staged by passengers to Lucknow and Patna no airline staff were available to give them their flight's status. Shortage of baggage belts added to delays. Despite these problems, Jet Airways and Kingfisher claimed the transition was smooth.

“Jet Airways completed a successful and smooth migration of the group's domestic operations to and from Delhi to Terminal 3,” said an airline spokesperson.

“By and large, the transition of operations for our domestic flights to T3 went off smoothly. We have put in place a multi-pronged communication system to inform passengers,” said the Kingfisher spokesperson.
