The Portuguese government is investigating alleged wrongdoings related to TAP Air Portugal’s purchase of VEM, the Brazilian MRO shop that once belonged to Varig Airlines.
Portugal's attorney general's office are investigating alleged corruption, money-laundering and embezzlement, although no formal suspects have been identified.
