Taiwan's Starlux Airlines has revealed the date of its maiden voyage set to commence on 23 January 2020.
Starlux has also introduced its first class of pilots, who recently graduated from a flight training program in the United States.
When the airline commences operations on 23 January, it will offer at least one flight a day to one of three destinations, including Macao, Da Nang, Vietnam, and Penang, Malaysia, with more to be added throughout the year.
It has not yet been revealed which destination will be its coveted maiden voyage.
In addition, Starlux is preparing to receive three new Airbus A321neo aircraft. The first one is expected to be delivered in November, with the second and third to arrive in December and January, respectively.
The airline is expected to receive another seven, set to be delivered through 2020.
