Surinam Airways signs A340-300 on eight-month dry lease from V2 Aviation

Surinam Airways signed an eight-month dry-lease with Dubai-based lessor V2 Aviation for an A340-300. The airline will assign the aircraft on its only intercontinental route - between Paramaribo International and Amsterdam Schiphol, the airline said in a statement.

The airline has confirmed that all players are continuing to work on the smooth handling of the phase-in process, and it is the intention to welcome the aircraft in Suriname within a short period of time.

The aircraft is currently being prepared for delivery from Jordan, however the delivery date is not yet disclosed. The initial lease was for eight months with an option to renew.

Meanwhile, Airhub Airlines operates rotations on behalf of Surinam Airways between Paramaribo and Amsterdam with an A330-200.

The airline has also deployed a B737-800 regionally since January 2023, the aircraft is on dry-lease from AerCap.
