SunExpress has taken delivery of four additional Boeing 737-8 aircraft, continuing the fleet modernisation programme at the Lufthansa–Turkish Airlines joint venture.
The aircraft arrived in Antalya during January, with the final unit delivered on 29 January. Three of the aircraft have already entered service on the carrier’s route network, with the fourth scheduled to begin operations in early February.
The latest deliveries follow the addition of five 737-8s in 2025, increasing the share of new-generation aircraft in the fleet as SunExpress replaces older narrowbodies.
The airline said the aircraft will support efficiency gains through improved fuel burn and lower noise emissions, contributing to lower operating costs and reduced environmental impact.
