Stratos Aviation Management has delivered a Boeing 737-800 on a long-term operating lease to Transavia France as part of the carrier's domestic fleet expansion.
"We are very pleased to welcome this new aircraft which strengthens our fleet and complements our growth trajectory," said Yves Le Berre, fleet director at the Air France-KLM subsidiary.
The aircraft is part of a portfolio managed on behalf of a UK-based fund manager and was redelivered from TUI (UK) ahead of what Stratos described as"various post-delivery cabin and avionic modification works, including some Transavia-specific customisation".
“We are delighted to have partnered with Transavia and to have delivered this aircraft to them. Our teams have worked very hard to achieve this outcome and we look forward to a long and successful relationship," said Stratos' marketing director Camille Pousseur.
The Transavia deal followed Stratos’ recent sending of two 737-800 aircraft to a European airline conglomerate and the delivery of the first of two IAE powered A320s to a European carrier on behalf of a Middle Eastern investor.
Over the preceding 12 months, Stratos re-marketed 20 aircraft to 11 airlines and investors and sourced a further eight aircraft, efforts that, along with the recently-announced acquisition of Magi Aviation Capital, contributed to it retaining an "average" ranking and "stable" outlook from Standard and Poor's Global Ratings.
S&P said on March 20 that Stratos' "continued growth in its servicing portfolio" as well as its "increased lease activity in 2022" were factors that were reflected in the ranking.
