Star Alliance appoints Simon Ralph as managing director UK

Star Alliance has appointed Simon Ralph as its managing director for the United Kingdom.

Based at London Heathrow and working closely with the alliance's HQ in Singapore, Ralph will lead Star Alliance's engagement in the UK, advancing strategic projects that enhance seamless connectivity and elevate the experience of member airline customers. He will work with airport stakeholders for the alliance's interests at Heathrow. 

“Simon’s aviation experience positions him well to manage the opportunities we have in the UK,” said Star Alliance CEO Theo Panagiotoulias. "Working with senior executives from our member airlines, he will be focused on delivering the best for our customers and carriers, as well as protecting our interests at London Heathrow.”

Simon has more than 25 years’ experience in the aviation industry. He joins Star Alliance from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), where he served as director external relations. During his time at IATA, he held a range of member and external relations related roles in London, Montreal and Geneva.
