StandardAero secured Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) approval, which enables it to support the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) needs of PW127M engine operators in India.
The Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100 family powers a range of applications including the ATR 42 and ATR 72 regional aircraft. StandardAero support the engine family via its overhaul locations in France and Canada. The company also has six additional PW100 service centres across North America.
“Efficient regional turboprop aircraft such as the ATR 42 and ATR 72 are playing a major role in supporting the expansion of the Indian Government's UDAN regional connectivity scheme, which is aimed at boosting economic development, employment and tourism by connecting small and remote cities,” said StandardAero vice president/general manager of the turboprops & fleets (TPAF) business unit Jeff Poirier.
