United Airlines has financed the purchase of five Airbus A321neo aircraft with Standard Chartered, supporting the carrier’s ongoing fleet update and efficiency strategy.
The bank said the transaction highlights its transportation finance division’s continued commitment to aviation finance, and aligns with United’s ongoing addition of next-generation narrow-body aircraft with improved fuel efficiency.
Abhishek Pandey, global head of transportation finance at Standard Chartered, said: “The transaction underscores our sustained focus on aviation finance for newer technology aircraft with improved fuel performance.”
