Turks and Caicos-based interCaribbean Airways has started flying between St Kitts and Nevis and Barbados.
The launch of the new route, which interCaribbean had earlier announced would open on March 12, was celebrated at an event staged by the airline with the St Kitts Tourism Authority and Barbados Tourism Marketing, and was attended by Marsha T Henderson, St Kitts' tourism minister, and Ian Gooding-Edghill, Barbados' transport minister.
The airline started serving the eastern Caribbean in 2020 and the new route was launched in time for 25th annual St Kitts Music Festival.
"We look forward to making travel to St. Kitts more efficient, so you can make the most of your time hiking in our rainforest, exploring our cultural sites, and enjoying our festivals and cuisine," said Henderson.
