S&P Global Ratings has affirmed a 'strong' overall ranking on ORIX Aviation Systems, as well as a 'stable' outlook rating.
The credit rating company said ORIX's rating reflected its stable portfolio and long track record of aircraft lease management; experienced leadership; well-established lease administration workflows and lessee surveillance; and extensive experience remarketing, restructuring, selling, and extending aircraft leases along with managing defaults.
In addition, it noted improved staff turnover, reliable IT infrastructure, and "solid internal controls framework" contributed to its rating.
"S&P Global’s ranking of ORIX Aviation is the highest commendation available and is a testament to the solid platform that we have built over the past three decades," ORIX Aviation CEO James Meyler.
The ratings agency added that the company had implemented a more hierarchical structure, a new application for various ESG and fleet activity reporting capabilities, as well as policies and an internal whistleblowing hotline since it affirmed ORIX as 'strong' and 'stable' outlook in 2022.
Meyler: "Our ranking is accompanied by a Stable outlook which is also reflective of the industry’s current position and future growth potential. This affirmation from S&P Global endorses the actions that ORIX Aviation take on a daily basis to deliver value for our clients."
S&P said ORIX's financial position is 'sufficient'.
